Colonel Pete Moore (Glenn Ford) is commander of the Whitney Radar Test Group, which has been experiencing electrical difficulties aboard its aircraft. To ferret out the problem, he sends a four-man crew on Flight 412. Shortly into the test, the jet picks up three blips on radar, and subsequently, two fighters scramble and mysteriously disappear. At this point, Flight 412 is monitored and forced to land by Digger Control, a top-level, military intelligence group that debunks UFO information. The intrepid colonel, kept in the dark about his crew, decides to investigate the matter himself.

Interesting. A little long-winded.
I'm with Dan170! Movies from that era are memorable for some of us who grew up in that time and there is not a thing wrong or boring with this film. The reason why everything is so slow for some is that some of you were born during a time where you became so absorbed with what is done for you. Those who grew up during this time were taught to read and concentrate and to think for yourselves. EVerything today is CGI and this is as phony as you can get. It takes a solid deal of imagination to develop a story and to produce a film. So there are some who appreciate what there was and others who long for the films of that time which produced the imagination we have today. three thumbs up for this one and for Dan170!

Please read the Thaioouba Prophecy, it is on this site, and study the Pleiadean messages to us on www.myspace.com/xirdal, and also look up the UMMO alien visitations ... See the Tether video, which shows tens of thousands space ships around our planet, since millions of star kids reincarnated from many planets here on Earth, to help us to save it ... see www.myspace.com/dalibor777 about star kids ...
This may be classified as science fiction, but it was really a documentary. It shows how our government is covering up the UFO phenomenon. In 1974 of course, UFO's, like area 51, did not exist.
It's rather slow and can be a little boring, but what do you expect of 1974 mindset, and technology.
And Hollywood did not get it all correct.... you don't set pressurization for 3000 ft. It's done automatically, and you don't require it under 10,000 feet! But all in all, it is an interesting
replay of events.

Painfully slow and redundent to the degree of the military citing order upon order to Glen Ford, who reciprocates by citing an equal number of orders back to the higher ups all because a couple of air force pilots saw an aircraft disappear and no one had the answer why.
I apologize for being too lazy to turn it off half way through
this movie was not as boring or uninteresting as the previous review stated. I found it interesting and anticipatory, I reccomend you view it.
